LTS – LinearTwinScan
The LinearTwinScan (LTS) was developed for automated filter integrity tests in sterilization tunnels to guarantee a more efficient, reproducible, and higher quality measurement process compared to manual procedures. Using two particle counters and two measuring probes, the particles are automatically detected downstream of the filter unit and the measurement results are displayed in real-time on the tablet screen using the ScanWare control software in the form of a 2D-heatmap. During the entire measurement process, a constant distance between the filter surface and the probe is maintained and a constant scan velocity is guaranteed. A measurement report can then be created in the post-processing area using the integrated ScanWorx analysis and evaluation software package.
The probes are moved from one tunnel wall to the other on a linear rail which is fixed to the conveyor belt. When a row has been completely scanned, the conveyor belt pushes the linear rail forward by a predetermined increment, while also taking the required path overlap into account. With this method, the entire filter area of a sterilization tunnel is scanned in a meandering pattern.
The system can be used for all types and sizes of sterilization tunnels with a minimum conveyor belt width of 300mm and a clear bulkhead height of at least 120mm. The size of the linear rails will fit the dimensions of the corresponding tunnel conveyor belt width. To switch between different tunnel models, the linear rail with the appropriate dimensions is selected. The working width of the system is therefore variable. In addition, the height of the two measuring.
